Day 9

Sometimes we think it is just easier to hold on to the hurt and bitterness. That letting it go would mean we were wrong or weak. Some of us have been holding on to it for so long - that it has become part of us. But...by clinging to it - only hurts us more. The roots dig deeper into our own hearts and then we start hurting others. The first step in healing is to trust Him enough to let it go. Once we start to believe Him - our hurts start to heal. We will still feel pain while we heal - but lean in and allow His Peace to warm you.

"Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God."
~Ephesians 3:17-19 (NLT)
