Day 148

What are you (what am I) choosing instead of Jesus? Do you numb out through distractions? Busyness, social media, food, etc... These things won't fill us or satisfy us for very long. We will keep looking for something to quench our thirst. Let's stop going to places that are dry! Let's look to Jesus. Let's bring Him along in our days. He longs for our company. When we realize that we aren't enough without Him then we can begin to recover our lives. "With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation." Isaiah 12:3

Day 147

“The world may tell us we’re too much and never enough. But we can walk wildly in who God created us to be and rest freely in the work Jesus did for us. We do not have to be confined or conformed by cultural expectations. We are unchained from our past and unafraid of our future.” ~Jess Connolly

Be brave to do the hard things. Jesus is enough. Jesus says: “ Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to saving yourself, your true self .” Mark 8:34
