Day 11

"In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance. Because of Christ, we give off a sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of salvation—an aroma redolent with life." ~ 2 Corinthians 2:14 (MSG)

Have you ever felt like you have been in such a fog that peace was way out of reach? Maybe saying, "Why can't I just have some peace?" Yeah - me too.

When I get like this...I try to remind myself to take some deep breaths. My past of teaching yoga reminds me how to breathe. Some say this breath sounds like Darth Vadar....others say that the inhale and exhales are the sound of God.

“The letters of the name of God in Hebrew… are infrequently pronounced Yahweh. But in truth they are inutterable….
This word {YHWH} is the sound of breathing.
The holiest name in the world, the Name of Creator, is the sound of your own breathing. That these letters are unpronounceable is no accident. Just as it is no accident that they are also the root letters of the Hebrew verb ‘to be’… God’s name is name of Being itself.
~Rabbi Lawrence Kushner

After I start taking those deep breaths - I remind myself that He is right here with me...walking in this fog with me. I imagine Him using His breath to blow a little out of the way with each step I take.

The more I focus on Him and my breath - I begin to feel better. The clearer my head starts to feel. Is the easy...NO! I have to remind myself over and over again because I tend to focus on the problem instead of The One who can help.

Peace is never too far out of reach - Peace is always - always - right next to you. Just listen to your breath.
