  Welcome to Day 28 of Chasing THE Light Project: I see His Beauty Today’s verse comes from Psalm 19:1 . “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” I’m sure you have heard the saying, “If Mamma isn’t happy then nobody is happy!” Yes? Sometimes it’s hard to see the beauty in the day to day activities. Sometimes, it’s hard to see the beauty in the mess of the house. Sometimes, it’s hard to see the beauty when the kids have been fighting all day. Sometimes, it’s hard to see the beauty when you care for an elderly parent every single day. Sometimes, when the stress mounts the beauty is hard to find. “The power of finding beauty in the humblest things makes home happy and life lovely.” ~Louisa May Alcott Can we see the beauty in what we may call the ugly? Can we start with being grateful…grateful for all the toys scattered throughout the house…grateful for all the dirty laundry…grateful for the dirty bathrooms….grateful for the dishes p...

 Welcome to Day 27 of Chase THE Light Project: I Can Believe Today's verse comes from Luke 1:45 : "Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!" God is with you and when He is with you - we can't fail.  Believe today that He can and will turn our mess around for His message. Believe that we can reflect God's kindness to others. Believe that God is good and God is good to YOU. If you are having trouble believing that God is good to you...ask Him to help you believe that He will fulfill His promises to you. And I challenge you to keep this scripture close by you today...memorize it if you want. 

  Welcome to Day 26 of Chasing THE Light: I am Brave Today’s verse comes from 2 Timothy 1:7 . “ For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” Do you ever feel like you lack confidence? I do…especially when I get ideas to do these types of projects with my blog. Writing something daily to get all of us here to focus on the One true Light…can be somewhat intimidating. I don’t know what I’m doing…I just know that it needs to be done. So I move forward with my eyes on Him. I seem to be in good company – especially when you read the Bible and see some pretty high up people that lacked confidence.   Here are a few: Moses Joshua Saul Solomon Jeremiah If we believe in Jesus…then we are called to do ministry for Him. Whether that is raising our kids, talking to a friend, volunteering, or actual church work…we are called to ministry right where we are. We may feel inadequate, unworthy, and unqualified. But guess what? God equips the call...

  Welcome to Day 25 of Chasing THE Light Project: I am Healed Today’s verse comes from John 19:30 . “ When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” He’s the payment to our sin. He knew this…He knew that His whole life would come to this sacrifice. I can’t comprehend it. By His wounds we are healed. What does His sacrifice mean to you? Today, let’s remember that we are healed because of Jesus. Let’s remember that there is power over death…thanks to Jesus.
