Welcome to Day 26 of Chasing THE Light: I am Brave Today’s verse comes from 2 Timothy 1:7. “ For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. ” Do you ever feel like you lack confidence? I do…especially when I get ideas to do these types of projects with my blog. Writing something daily to get all of us here to focus on the One true Light…can be somewhat intimidating. I don’t know what I’m doing…I just know that it needs to be done. So I move forward with my eyes on Him. Welcome to Day 25 of Chasing THE Light Project: I am Healed Today’s verse comes from John 19:30. “ When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. ” He’s the payment to our sin. He knew this…He knew that His whole life would come to this sacrifice. I can’t comprehend it. By His wounds we are healed . What does His sacrifice mean to you? Today, let’s remember that we are healed because of Jesus. Let’s remember that there is power over death…thanks to Jesus.

Welcome to Day 24 of Chase THE Light Project: I Can See Today’s verse comes from Matthew 6:22-23. Jesus said, “If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.” One of my hobbies is taking pictures. I have always loved photography. As a kid…my Dad was always taking pictures, we even had a dark room in our house. I never cared to be in front of the camera but I’ve always loved being behind it.  Today, you can find me snapping pictures of my world. I can always frame up a picture when just going about my day and then reach for my camera or phone. When I’m looking through the camera lens I will shift my position to get the right shot. Sometimes, I’m lying down in the dirt or standing on the table.  Shifting our perspective has the power to change everything. Welcome to Day 23 of Chasing THE Light Project: I Have Power Today’s verse comes from Ephesians 3:20. ” Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us .” I love the book of Ephesians! First, Paul wrote this verse from prison. I recommend reading Ephesians 3:14-21 today. He is in prison when he is writing this and he talking about God’s power at work within us. I think if I was in prison…well, I’m not sure I’d be focusing on His power in me. Often times when we pray – we end up praying for material/physical needs and wants. But Paul is talking about what’s inside us…our heart. Today, read Ephesians 3:14-21. Write out a prayer asking Jesus to make His home in your heart. Share with us ways that you can reflect God’s love today. And know this, as you chase Him - your roots will grow deep to help keep you strong and you will have His power! “Then Christ will make his home in your heart...
