“I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” ~John 6:35 The hunger pangs – we’ve all experienced it to some degree. The feeling of discomfort when your stomach muscles contract letting you know that it’s been awhile since you’ve had food or water. If you ignore it for too long you can get a headache, decreased energy causing you to be weak, sugar levels can drop making you feel worse, you can become grouchy and confusion can set in. The body has to work really hard to protect its vital organs when all this happens. How much better we can feel just after taking a sip of water and eating some food. I see a lot of these symptoms in me when my soul is starving. (especially the grouchy, confused and weak symptoms) We are told to pray for our “daily bread” – both physical and spiritual.
