Losing Light
There are times when I sleep in...not many times but there are mornings when I get up when the kids do. I find every single time I do this...it makes me crazy. I like to ease into my mornings...with coffee, Jesus, and quiet. When I wake up with everyone wanting this....that...and the other? I'm out. Unfortunately, it takes me a lot of time to real myself back in.
I don't believe the root cause is sleeping in and demanding kids. I know that there is something deep down inside that is really the problem. I just don't know what that something is which is why I need that time with Him.
SO! I move along my day trying to remember the "get to" instead of the "have to" and trying to find His gifts in the mundane. They're there...I believe it...I just can't lose sight of it.
In a loud world - we can lose The Light. In a dark world - we can stop looking for The Light...we have to choose to see it. We have to choose to come to Him - to get away with Him - to stay in The Light to recover our lives.
Happy Sunday!

“Are you
tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me
and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest.
Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced
rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep
company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
