Welcome to Day 30 of Chasing THE Light Project: I can SHINE Today’s verse comes from John 1:5 . “ Everything was created through him; nothing—not one thing!—came into being without him. What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out.” Today is day 30 of the Chase THE Light project. My hope is that these posts have encouraged, inspired, and ignited something within you to want to chase His Light. I know that some days are hard and messy…but He holds you in His hands. He cups your face and says, “Look to Me. I AM with you and I AM all you need.” He is your life jacket. He is your life-light. Let His Light spark your heart so that you will say what His disciples said, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32) Focus on THE Light. Don’t let what macular degeneration does to the retina do to the eye

  Welcome to Day 29 of Chasing THE Light Project: I am a Light-Bearer Today’s verse comes from Matthew 5:15 (MSG) . “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.” The light always follows us. No matter where we are…the light is there. Turn on the evening news and we are flooded with darkness. But God is good. We can’t forget this. He is a good good Father. Our job is to not keep Him a secret. He calls us to shine His Light. We are to shine for Him. We are to speak to others about Him. We are to live
