Welcome to Day 14 of Chase THE Light Project: I Have Grace

Today’s verse comes from John 1:16. “For from His fullness we have all received grace upon grace.”

I love this verse…His steadfast love and faithfulness to us is beyond my comprehension. He pours on the grace daily and we miss it most times.  I know I do.  I get so caught up in my day to day activities that I don’t even pay attention.  

Then there are times when I am paying attention but I feel like I don’t deserve His grace. I can be pretty hard on myself at times and think that everyone else deserves the grace but not me.  That’s not how He works. 

If I’m not spending time with Him – I start to believe that I don’t deserve it. That is why I began “Chasing The Light” – to always believe and remember that I do deserve the gifts that He gives.
His grace meets us in the moment. Release the tight grip – open up the hands – and receive the gift that He offers. Grace upon grace. Accept it and hold it close so that you can extend grace to someone else today.

  This week's blog topic from Proverbs 31 OBS is on “Worry”… AND I know a thing or two about worry.  I’m betting a lot of you reading this do as well.  Dictionary.com defines worry as: “ to torment oneself with or suffer from disturbing thoughts; fret. ” Torment oneself.  Suffer.  Fret.  That’s what I can do to myself sometimes.   I’ve heard that if you worry you don’t really trust that God can handle it.  You don’t trust God with it.  That’s hard to swallow for me.  Because I worry about my kids, my family, me, friends, etc.  But I’m in the Bible every single day.  I am a Jesus girl.  So for me to worry and then see that my worry means I don’t trust that God can handle it is hard.  UGH.   I am getting better about it though.  My time with God every morning is helping.  When I start to worry about something…I begin to pray.  I stop the tormenting in it...

A Raging Battle.... Proverbs 31 OBS Blog Hop
