Day 184 - Day 2 of Chase THE Light Project

Welcome to Day 2 – I am light to others.

Today’s verse is from Ephesians 5:8. “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.”

I can think of many times I was once in the darkness.  In fact, if I don’t spend time with Him daily – I can easily get caught up in all that is not Him. I can be too busy or get too distracted to have my morning quiet time.  When I’m too busy to spend time with Him that is when I’m most vulnerable to the enemy and that is right where he wants me.  I start to believe those lies that he says…”You aren’t good enough to do that. God doesn’t really care if you do that…you are only one person and it doesn’t even matter.”

When this happens I need to stop it immediately, bring it to Jesus and leave it at the foot of the cross.

To Chase the Light – I need to spend time soaking in His Light. I have to fight for this time because it is a battle.  When I spend time with Him…I can then be light to others.  Isn’t that the ultimate goal – to imitate Jesus?

How can you walk as a child of light? What are some things that may still be preventing you from being in the light? Do you have opposition in your life? Are there things that you need to bring to His feet and lay it down? Leave them there.

Today, spend time soaking in His Light so that you can reflect that light to others.  Ask for eyes to see and ears to hear – be on guard and trust what comes.
