Power
Today’s verse comes from Ephesians 3:20. ”Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or
imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”
I love the book of Ephesians!
First, Paul wrote this verse from
prison. I recommend reading Ephesians 3:14-21 today.
He is in prison when he is writing this
and he talking about God’s power at work within us. I think if I was in prison…well,
I’m not sure I’d be focusing on His power in me.
Often times when we pray – we end up praying
for material/physical needs and wants. But Paul is talking about what’s inside
us…our heart.
Today, read Ephesians 3:14-21. Write out
a prayer asking Jesus to make His home in your heart. Share with us ways that
you can reflect God’s love today. And know this, as you chase Him - your roots
will grow deep to help keep you strong and you will have His power!
“Then Christ will make his home in your
hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep
you strong. And
may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how
long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is
too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the
fullness of life and power that comes from God.” ~Ephesians 3:17-19
