FAITH: “Now faith is the assurance of
things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” ~Heb 11:1
HOPE: “Oh! May the God of green hope
fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled
with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope!”
~Romans 15:13 (Msg)
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.”

These three words are
on my mind this week….Faith. Hope. Love.
Hebrews 11:6 says,
“And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever
would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those
who seek Him.”
The
things that require faith are the things that scare me. I like my familiar grounds…my territory. My to-do list. My schedule.
That’s an awful lot of me right there.
In a couple of months…I will be stepping into unfamiliar territory and
honestly it scares me. This road can go
in two directions…I can jump in with God or I can flee back to MY
normalcy. But to PLEASE Him and go in
the direction He is leading me…I need to do this thing that I’m afraid to do.
Trust
Him.
Lean
into Him.
Anchor
myself to Him. The Author of my hope.
Take
a step…a leap…a jump into faith.
“There
is no fear in love. But perfect love
drives out fear. For fear has to do with
punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” ~1 John 4:18
God
is love.
I
can do this. “I can do all this through
Him who gives me strength.” ~Phil. 4:13
Faith + Hope + Love = Harmony
“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” ~Colossians 3:14
It's a pep talk to myself.
(and I need to clean my piano) =)
